Erik Miller

Erik Miller is a Partner at Canyon Capital Advisors, based in Los Angeles, where he serves as Co-Head and Co-Portfolio Manager of the firm’s Collateralized Loan Obligation (CLO) business. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing Canyon’s global CLO platform, with a particular focus on CLO investments in both the United States and Europe, and leading Canyon’s European and Asian investment efforts.

Mr. Miller specializes in structured credit and leveraged loan sectors, with deep experience in CLO structuring, portfolio management, and credit analysis. Previously, he focused on global distressed, high yield, and equity investments in the traditional media sector. His earlier career includes investment roles at Capital Group Companies, Francisco Partners in private equity, and technology investment banking at Morgan Stanley.

Mr. Miller holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University. Under his leadership, Canyon’s CLO business has grown to manage over $11 billion in global CLO assets, with a reputation for disciplined risk management and innovation in credit markets.
