David Meyer

David Meyer is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Contour Asset Management LLC, an SEC-registered investment advisor and hedge fund based in New York City. He co-founded Contour in 2010 and leads the firm's investment activities, focusing on discretionary equity strategies across public markets. Meyer is responsible for overseeing portfolio construction and directing thematic and security selection within the firm’s core investment mandates.

Meyer has devoted his career to the technology sector, with a specific emphasis on software, information technology services, IT hardware, media, and telecommunications. At Contour, his investment focus remains on the technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT) sectors, leveraging his deep expertise in these industries to identify and capitalize on key market trends. Prior to Contour, he was a technology analyst and later a senior investment team member at Brummer & Partners (Zenit Fund and Manticore Capital), and began his career as an equity analyst at Morgan Stanley Investment Management, covering software, IT services, and IT hardware companies.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Northwestern University and is a CFA charterholder. Meyer's two decades of experience in TMT investing, his leadership in founding Contour Asset Management, and his track record managing sophisticated institutional portfolios distinguish him as a recognized expert in technology equity and alternative asset management.
