Evan Sturza

Evan Sturza is Senior Managing Director of Biotechnology Investments at Hudson Bay Capital Management LP in New York, where he leads investment strategy and portfolio management across the biotechnology sector. In this role, he directs public and private equity investments, focusing on companies involved in therapeutics, pharmaceuticals, and life sciences innovation. His responsibilities include evaluating clinical, regulatory, and commercial dynamics within the biotech industry to guide high-impact investment decisions.

With more than three decades of experience in healthcare investing, Evan previously held senior portfolio management positions at Millennium Management and HealthCor Management, as well as at Ursus Capital. He is recognized for founding Sturza’s Institutional Research and Sturza’s Medical Investment Letter, serving the information needs of institutional investors and health professionals in the medical and pharmaceutical sectors. His expertise extends to building and managing teams focused on healthcare equities and providing thought leadership in biotech investing.

Evan holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship from The Wharton School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Northeastern University. Throughout his career, he has consistently focused on healthcare and biotechnology asset classes, advising on complex investment strategies that support innovation and growth in the industry.
