Alona Strait

Alona Strait is the Chief Financial Officer and former Managing Director, Fund Controller at Indus Capital Partners, LLC, based in Holmdel, NJ. In her CFO and senior fund oversight roles, she leads the firm's financial management, fund accounting, operations, and trade settlement activities for a diverse portfolio of hedge fund strategies with a core focus on Pan-Asia equities and global alternative investments.

She began her career as a Fund Administrator and Account Manager at BNY Mellon, where she provided accounting and operational services to various hedge funds before joining Indus Capital Partners in 2005 as Assistant Controller and steadily advancing to executive leadership.

Ms. Strait holds a Master of Science in Investment Management from Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, a B.S. in Computer Science from Brooklyn College, and an Accounting degree from Kiev Industrial Pedagogical College in Ukraine. Over her career, she has played a significant role in strengthening Indus Capital’s financial controls, supporting cross-Asia trading operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance across multiple fund structures within the global public and private equity sectors.
