Jimmie Newton

Jimmie Newton is an Executive Director and Research Analyst at Indus Capital Partners, currently working from the Hong Kong office, with a strong focus on asset management and investment strategies for Asian and emerging markets equities. As a generalist analyst, he covers a wide range of sectors with emphasis on macroeconomic and company research for Chinese and other Asian equities.

Jimmie brings extensive experience from prior roles at Ashmore Investment Management, where he conducted macro and company research on Chinese equities, and Cambridge Associates, where he served as an investment analyst. He is a CFA charterholder, holding a B.A. in Economics from Radford University (2010) and an MBA from Yale School of Management (2021).

Throughout his career, Jimmie has been recognized for his expertise in asset allocation, risk management, and strategic financial planning, particularly within the context of emerging markets and corporate finance.
