George Ruhana

George Ruhana is a Partner at PEAK6 Investments, based in Chicago, IL, where he has served since 2002. At PEAK6, he plays a pivotal role in shaping investment strategy and expanding the firm's portfolio across dynamic sectors including financial technology, trading, insurance technology, and market infrastructure. Ruhana is also the Chair of the Board at Bruce Markets Holdings LLC, a PEAK6 subsidiary pioneering overnight U.S. equities trading for institutional clients, and has recently joined the board of Hala Systems, further reflecting his commitment to technological advancement and market access. Prior to his partnership at PEAK6, he served as CEO of OptionsHouse, PEAK6’s retail brokerage subsidiary, where he notably grew its active trading client base from 5,000 to over 90,000 before negotiating its acquisition. He previously led trading and portfolio management functions at PEAK6, focusing on options and derivatives, and has held interim chief executive and board roles in various fintech firms, insurtech, and capital markets platforms.
