Brent Benkovic

Brent Benkovic, CFA, is Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations at Sandler Capital Management in New York, where he oversees the firm's client services and marketing activities for Sandler’s hedge fund strategies. He plays a key leadership role in maintaining and expanding institutional relationships, supporting capital raising, and communicating the firm's investment approach to clients.

Benkovic’s work at Sandler Capital is closely tied to the firm's primary hedge fund strategies, including long/short equity and long/short credit, which emphasize secular growth and challenged businesses across a range of U.S. public equities and corporate credit markets. This includes frequent engagement with technology, financials, consumer discretionary, and other public market sectors, reflecting the diversified focus of Sandler Capital’s portfolios.

Prior to joining Sandler in 2000, Benkovic was an analyst at Bridgewater Associates, where he specialized in marketing for fixed income and foreign exchange investments. He holds a B.S. from Cornell University and is a CFA charterholder as well as an active member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and CFA Institute, with notable expertise in client relations, fund marketing, and alternative asset management.
