David Boehm

David Boehm is a Downstream Analyst at Thomist Capital Management, LP, based in Houston, TX, where he specializes in tracking and evaluating investments related to the downstream energy sector, including refining, petrochemicals, and related infrastructure. His role involves in-depth analysis of market trends, operational performance, and financial metrics for companies in the refining and midstream oil & gas industries.

Prior to joining Thomist Capital in 2018, David Boehm worked at ExxonMobil's Baytown Refinery, first as a Distillation and Hydroprocessing Engineer and later as the Middle Distillates Coordinator. This hands-on operations experience in one of the world’s largest refineries equips him with a unique technical and commercial perspective on energy sector investments.

David holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia. He brings a strong analytical skillset and sector-specific knowledge of oil & gas, downstream energy operations, and industrial assets, supporting informed investment decisions in the energy and related asset classes.
