Tom Wynter

Tom Wynter is a portfolio manager at Tudor Investment Corporation, where he has served since 2011, focusing on generating alpha across a range of asset classes within the firm’s multi-strategy investment platform. Prior to joining Tudor, he was a Senior Researcher at SAC Capital, where he contributed to research and portfolio construction over a decade-long tenure from 2001 to 2011.

His expertise spans global macro strategies, including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and commodities, with a strong emphasis on quantitative research and risk management methodologies. At Tudor, he is known for deploying advanced mathematical and theoretical frameworks in his investment decision-making, leveraging his robust scientific training.

Wynter holds a PhD in Theoretical and Mathematical Physics from the École Normale Supérieure, a Master’s degree from MIT, and a BSc from the University of Edinburgh, with an additional BA in Fine Art Painting from Kingston University. Throughout his career, he has pioneered the integration of scientific methods into portfolio construction, making notable contributions to the advancement of quantitative approaches in the investment management industry.
