Pete Goddard

Pete Goddard is a founding partner of Walleye Trading, where he played a central leadership role in building the firm's quantitative and options market-making operations. With a focus on leveraging high-performance data systems and systematic trading strategies, he oversaw the development of innovative trading infrastructure that gave Walleye a competitive edge in options, volatility, and quant-driven asset classes.

Goddard's expertise encompasses the design and implementation of high-frequency, data-driven trading methodologies, particularly in the options and listed derivatives markets. His career prior to Walleye Trading includes notable roles as Managing Director of Listed Derivatives Trading at both Citigroup and Knight Trading Group, as well as experience as an FX Trader at Lehman Brothers.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Goddard is also CEO of Deephaven Data Labs, a technology company spun out of Walleye to deliver advanced data solutions—a testament to his substantial contributions to both quantitative trading and financial technology innovation.
