Richard F. Carolan, Jr. is Co-President and Financial Advisor at Blue Fin Capital, Inc., an SEC-registered investment advisory and wealth management firm headquartered in Rhode Island. As a founder of Blue Fin Capital and its chief executive since 1994, Carolan oversees the firm’s strategic direction and leads a team delivering comprehensive investment advice and portfolio management to high-net-worth individuals and families.

Carolan’s expertise centers on multi-asset portfolio management, with a focus on equities, fixed income, and municipal bonds. Over his career, he has developed customized long-term asset allocation strategies, practical risk management approaches, and individualized wealth preservation solutions for private clients.

Prior to founding Blue Fin Capital, Carolan worked as an investment analyst specializing in municipal bonds at Carolan & Co., Inc. and as a senior credit analyst and credit officer with Fleet National Bank, where he gained experience in fixed income and treasury operations. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brown University, and his notable contributions include building a boutique advisory firm known for responsive, independent advice and client-centered asset management.
