Ben Brooks

Ben Brooks is the President of Capital Investment Counsel, Inc., based in North Carolina, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees client portfolio management for a diverse clientele including high-net-worth individuals, nonprofits, and institutional investors. His responsibilities span firm leadership, portfolio construction, and ensuring long-term wealth preservation with a particular emphasis on U.S. public equities and fixed income across diversified asset allocations.

With over three decades in the financial services industry, Ben brings substantial expertise in public markets, portfolio design, and risk-adjusted investment solutions. He is also the founding partner of Southern Capitol Ventures, focusing on entrepreneurial and venture opportunities, and previously held senior leadership roles in investment banking where he guided acquisition and capital placement transactions for growth-oriented firms.

Ben holds an MBA in Finance from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business and a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
