Kevin Laub

Kevin Laub is a founding member and current Portfolio Manager at Dean Capital Management, LLC, an employee-owned investment firm based in Overland Park, Kansas. He leads the firm’s Equity Income, Large Cap Value, and Multi-Cap Value strategies, with a primary focus on U.S. value equities across the large cap and multi-cap spectrum.

Laub’s expertise centers on the selection of undervalued U.S. companies, with particular emphasis on large cap and multi-cap equities within the value segment of the market. He manages portfolios that invest chiefly in common stocks but may also include REITs, master limited partnerships (MLPs), and high-grade government bonds, aiming for long-term capital growth and higher levels of dividend income. His strategies are bottom-up and fundamentally driven, with a strong emphasis on normalized earnings and dividend safety.

With over 27 years of investment experience, Laub has a strong track record in institutional asset management and has stewarded the development of Dean Capital since its founding in 2008. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is recognized for aligning manager interests with clients through significant personal investment in the firm’s products. His career prior to Dean Capital included working closely with the current founding principals at another prominent Kansas City-based institutional investment firm.
