Jim Klein

Jim Klein is Principal and Senior Portfolio Manager at Meritage Portfolio Management in Overland Park, Kansas, where he is a founding principal and key member of the Investment Management Team. With over 30 years of investment experience, Jim leads both private and institutional client relationships and is involved in developing new client partnerships while supporting the firm’s equity-oriented strategies.

Jim specializes in equity management, implementing investment strategies across a range of asset classes including value equity, growth equity, yield-focused equity, and small-cap equities. He plays a central role in evaluating equities for the firm, focusing on companies with strong free cash flow and attractive long-term value, and works extensively on asset allocation and risk management for high-net-worth individuals and select institutions.

He holds a B.S. in Economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Jim is recognized in the investment industry for his contributions to equity strategy development and has been integral in Meritage’s recognition as one of the top advisory firms in Kansas.
