Kent Kramer

Kent Kramer serves as Chief Investment Officer at Foster Group in Johnston, Iowa, where he leads the firm's Investment Strategy Group and Investment Committee. His responsibilities include overseeing portfolio construction, governance of investment functions, trading, benchmarking, and fiduciary standards, as well as guiding clients and the firm’s strategic decisions.

Kramer’s investment expertise spans portfolio research and design, investment operations, trading, and trust management, with a particular focus on multi-asset portfolios for individuals, families, and institutions. He is actively involved in evaluating portfolio allocation strategies, researching new investment products, and advising clients on wealth management across equities, fixed income, and alternative assets.

Prior to joining Foster Group in 2001, Kramer served as a State Representative in the Iowa Legislature, where he was Vice-Chair of the Ways & Means Committee. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with high distinction in Finance from the University of Iowa, and his career is marked by over two decades of leadership, frequent contributions to financial publications, and active involvement in community and professional boards.
