Saul Peña

Saul Peña is Principal at Independent advisor, where he draws on over two decades of experience in the global banking and investment sector. In his role, he provides strategic investment guidance to clients, leveraging a background that spans international relationship management and director-level leadership at major financial institutions. His current focus includes advising across diversified asset classes with an emphasis on sustainable finance, global markets, and cross-border investments.

Previously, Peña served as Global Relationship Manager at HSBC and Director at ABN AMRO Bank, strengthening his expertise in corporate finance, risk management, and international capital markets. Across these positions, he has developed deep sectoral knowledge of fixed income and sustainable development investment strategies.

He holds a Master in Development Practice in Sustainable Development from Sciences Po, an MBA in Finance from the University of Warwick – Warwick Business School, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Peña is recognized for integrating finance with sustainable investment practices, providing clients tailored solutions in global fixed income and advisory mandates.
