Ken Palumbo

Ken Palumbo is the former President and Chief Operating Officer of JAT Capital Management LP, where he served from September 2020 to July 2025. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing firm operations, managing risk, and supporting portfolio construction for a multi-billion-dollar alternative asset manager. JAT Capital is noted for its fundamental, thesis-driven investment approach with a core focus on sectors such as technology, media and telecommunications (TMT), consumer, travel, leisure, and gaming.

Prior to JAT Capital, Ken held top operational roles including Partner and COO at Wexford Capital LP and COO at Cider Mill Investments, bringing extensive leadership in firm administration, compliance, and execution across multiple hedge funds. He also held prominent roles at Shumway Capital Partners and served as CFO at Hilal Capital Management, with early career experience as an accountant at Rothstein Kass.

Ken is a Certified Public Accountant, holding a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University and a diploma from Christian Brothers Academy. Widely respected for building high-performing teams and scaling operations, he has contributed significantly to the hedge fund industry’s operational best practices, particularly within global public equity and sector-specialist investment firms.
