Laura Perry

Laura Perry, CAIA, is an Equity Research Associate at Kopernik Global Investors, LLC, based in the Greater Tampa Bay Area. In her role, she supports the firm’s value-oriented, fundamentals-based investment process, conducting independent analysis of global equities to identify undervalued opportunities across diverse sectors and geographies. Her research responsibilities include evaluating industry trends, company fundamentals, and management quality to contribute actionable investment insights to the portfolio management team.

Before joining Kopernik in 2021, Laura held investment analyst roles at Deseret Mutual Benefit Administrators (DMBA), where she focused on asset allocation, security selection, and risk analysis. Her early experience as an Investment Analyst Intern at DMBA provided a foundation in quantitative research and sector analysis. Laura’s expertise spans international equity markets, with an emphasis on bottom-up, company-specific research within industries such as natural resources, financials, and cyclicals, reflecting Kopernik’s global contrarian investment approach.

Laura holds a Master of Science in Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from the University of Utah. As a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), she combines rigorous academic training with real-world investment experience, contributing to Kopernik’s collaborative research environment. Her background and credentials support her contributions to global equity research and the identification of value-driven opportunities for institutional investors.
