Judy Becker is a Principal and voting member of the investment research team at Marshfield Associates, an independent investment advisory firm based in Washington, DC. In her current role, she is responsible for conducting rigorous fundamental research, contributing to portfolio construction decisions, and helping to maintain the firm’s disciplined, value-oriented investment approach.

Her investment focus centers on U.S. equities across several key sectors, including consumer discretionary (such as AutoZone Inc. and Ross Stores), industrials (Cummins Inc.), healthcare (UnitedHealth Group), financial services (VISA, Moody’s Corp), and retail. Becker is actively involved in evaluating holdings and making recommendations across these asset classes, with Marshfield’s core portfolio showing strong concentration in large-cap U.S. stocks from these industries.

Prior to joining Marshfield Associates, Becker served as an attorney and Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. Department of Education, further strengthening her analytical and regulatory expertise. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Duke University and a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center, uniquely combining legal and financial acumen to inform her investment research and decision-making.
