William McGregor

William (Will) McGregor is a Research Assistant on the Investment Research Team at Marshfield Associates, where he has served since January 2023. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the firm's fundamental, bottom-up investment research process, with a focus on value investing principles. While his current research mandate at Marshfield Associates is broad, his prior experience underscores a specialization in technology sector analysis, honed during his time as a Technology Analyst for the Georgetown University Student Investment Fund.

Before joining Marshfield Associates, Will was a Technology Analyst at the Georgetown University Student Investment Fund from 2018 to 2022, gaining direct experience in public equity research and sector analysis. He also completed an internship with the White House Special Projects Team at the Democratic National Committee, where he worked on strategic projects, and spent time at a private equity firm in Chicago, broadening his exposure to various asset classes and investment strategies.

Will holds a Bachelor’s degree in Government from Georgetown University. His background combines analytical expertise in public equities—especially technology—with a keen interest in patient, value-oriented investment approaches. His track record demonstrates an ability to conduct rigorous research and contribute to diverse aspects of the investment process at Marshfield Associates.
