William M.

William M. is a member of the Investment Research Team at Marshfield Associates, having joined the firm in January 2023. In his current role as Research Assistant, he conducts in-depth analysis of individual equities and supports Marshfield's distinctive value-oriented, bottom-up investment approach, which spans multiple sectors due to the firm's sector-agnostic philosophy. Marshfield's portfolio includes holdings across industrials, consumer discretionary, financial services, and healthcare, reflecting a concentrated yet diverse asset allocation strategy.

Prior to joining Marshfield Associates, William was a Technology Analyst at the Georgetown University Student Investment Fund, where he focused on the technology sector and provided research-driven recommendations on publicly traded technology companies. He also gained policy and organizational experience as a Strategy and Organizing Intern with the Democratic National Committee's White House Special Projects Team.

William earned his Bachelor’s degree in Government from Georgetown University. His background in investment research, technology analysis, and policy equips him to evaluate a broad range of industries, supporting Marshfield Associates’ mission of differentiated investment performance through patient, disciplined research and capital allocation.
