Shayon Chatterjee

Shayon Chatterjee is Managing Director and Partner at Moon Capital Management LP, a global alternative investment firm that invests across public equities with a strong focus on emerging markets. In his leadership role, he oversees portfolio strategy and investment management, with responsibilities for allocating capital, directing research, and managing risk for institutional and private investor assets.

Chatterjee has over two decades of experience in the investment industry, previously serving as Senior Partner at Althea Capital and as Portfolio Manager and Senior Analyst for Global Emerging Markets at Tudor Investment Corporation. He also held positions at Oaktree Capital Management and Credit Suisse, building deep expertise in international equities and emerging market strategies. His sectoral focus spans global equities, with a particular specialization in emerging markets and alternative investment strategies.

He holds a BS in Industrial Engineering and Economics from Columbia University's Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Science, as well as a BS in Chemistry (with Honours) from Hindu College, Delhi University. Through his analytical rigor, sector expertise, and leadership in global asset allocation, Chatterjee has made significant contributions to global investment management, notably in emerging market equities and multi-asset portfolios.
