Nicholas Bauer

Nicholas Bauer, CFA, is the Managing Partner and founding partner at Operose Advisors in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He oversees the firm’s strategic direction, investment advisory process, key client relationships, and business development efforts. Bauer leads a team delivering investment consulting and advisory services to clients, focusing on multi-asset class portfolios and institutional mandates.

His investment career spans more than 24 years, including leadership as Principal and Director at Geneva Capital Management, where he was instrumental in expanding institutional AUM from $1 billion to $6.8 billion and facilitating the company’s acquisition by Henderson Global Investors. At Henderson, he managed North American institutional business development before founding Operose Advisors. Bauer is actively involved on the boards and finance committees of organizations such as Versiti, Inc. and the Metro Milwaukee Association of Commerce, and he has advisory roles relating to real estate and education sector investment committees.

Bauer holds a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and is a CFA charterholder.
