Mark Cooper

Mark Cooper is President and Portfolio Manager at Pacific Ridge Capital Partners, LLC, based in the Portland, Oregon area. In his current role, he sets overall firm strategy, contributes as a senior investment analyst, and plays a key role in business and product development for the boutique investment management firm. Cooper leads the research effort and continues to serve as a portfolio manager for the firm's core equity strategies.

Cooper specializes in small cap and micro cap value equities, focusing on uncovering undervalued companies within the least efficient segments of the U.S. public equity market. He has helped drive the firm's contrarian, fundamentals-driven investment process that targets market inefficiencies for institutional and high-net-worth clients, managing strategies that have achieved strong track records relative to benchmarks over multi-year periods.

With nearly 30 years of investment management experience, Cooper previously held senior positions at Wells Capital Management and Benson Associates, LLC before launching Pacific Ridge Capital Partners in 2010. He holds the CFA designation and is recognized for developing disciplined investment processes and fostering long-term client relationships within the small and micro cap equity space.
