Mark Cooper

Mark Cooper is the President and Portfolio Manager at Pacific Ridge Capital Partners, LLC, an investment management firm based in Lake Oswego (Portland area), Oregon. He leads the firm’s strategic direction and oversees its investment operations, working closely with the team to manage day-to-day investment decisions and business development initiatives.

With a career spanning over three decades, Mark specializes in small-cap and micro-cap value equity investments, employing a fundamental research-driven approach to identify undervalued companies primarily within the U.S. equity markets. Under his leadership, Pacific Ridge focuses on sectors such as consumer discretionary, financials, industrials, energy, and healthcare, as evidenced by the firm’s top holdings and targeted asset allocation.

Prior to founding Pacific Ridge Capital Partners in 2010, Mark served as a senior portfolio manager at Wells Capital Management and Benson Associates, where he and his current partners established a reputation for disciplined value investing. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) designation and is recognized for his expertise in building contrarian, institutionally oriented value portfolios for both institutional and high-net-worth clients, contributing significant thought leadership across the small-cap value investing landscape.
