Walter Giles

Walter K. Giles is Principal and Portfolio Manager at Cannell & Spears LLC in New York, where he is responsible for managing client investment portfolios and leading equity research within the firm. He oversees allocations across major asset classes with a focus on U.S. equities, and helps guide the firm's sector exposures including technology, financials, consumer, and industrials, as reflected in the firm's portfolio holdings in companies like Microsoft, Apple, Berkshire Hathaway, and Amazon.

Giles brings over three decades of investment management experience. Prior to joining Cannell & Spears in 2020, he was a partner at Beck, Mack & Oliver LLC for 20 years, where he managed client portfolios and analyzed companies. His earlier roles include equity analyst at The Ford Foundation and portfolio management positions at Peter B. Cannell & Co..

He holds a BA in Economics from Lehigh University and is a CFA charterholder.
