Frank Hawrylak

Frank H. Hawrylak, CFA, is a Managing Director and member of the Investment Committee at Tweedy, Browne, based in New York, NY. He has been with Tweedy, Browne since 1986 and became an equity stakeholder in 2011, ascending to Managing Director in 2020. In this role, he is responsible for fundamental security analysis and investment decision-making for the firm’s managed funds and client portfolios.

Mr. Hawrylak applies a value-oriented approach across global equities, with particular expertise in cash flow-based valuation and risk analysis. He primarily covers public companies in international and US markets, with sector exposure spanning industrials, consumer staples, financials, and other core industries. His work emphasizes maintaining discipline in valuation with strong cash flow support and prudent downside risk assessment.

Before joining Tweedy, Browne, Frank gained experience in the investment department at Royal Insurance, further refining his analytical skills. He holds a B.S. from the University of Arizona and an M.B.A. from the University of Edinburgh, Scotland. As a long-serving committee member, he has contributed significantly to Tweedy, Browne’s standing in classic value investing, helping steward over $7 billion in client assets and earning recognition within the industry for his analytical rigor and stewardship.
