Brian Christensen

Brian Christensen is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer at David Vaughan Investments in Peoria, IL, where he leads the firm's investment strategy and oversees portfolio management to align with clients’ financial goals. He specializes in equity and fixed income asset management, having previously managed small-cap equity and U.S. government securities portfolios, and contributed to the development of mutual funds before joining DVI.

With over three decades in the industry, Brian began his career managing short-term foreign currency exposure and pension assets at a leading Peoria manufacturing company, later transitioning to securities portfolio management before joining DVI in 1993. He holds a BS in Business with dual majors in Finance and Management from Eastern Illinois University and an MBA in Finance and Investments from Illinois State University; he is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).

Brian’s notable achievements include the creation of DVI Consulting Group, a dedicated division focused on serving retirement plan sponsors, and leading DVI’s transition from a boutique advisory to a respected institutional investment firm. He is recognized for his disciplined portfolio management, deep expertise in equities and fixed income, and commitment to client-focused investment solutions.
