Eric Heyman

Eric R. Heyman is the President, Lead Portfolio Manager, and Director of Research at Olstein Capital Management, L.P., where he oversees a collaborative and forensic approach to value investing. As Director of Research since 2005, he is responsible for the ongoing generation of investment ideas, directing sector and company coverage, and ensuring effective information flow within the research department. He has also served as co-lead Portfolio Manager for both the Olstein Strategic Opportunities Fund and the Olstein All Cap Value Fund, focusing on uncovering unrecognized value in publicly traded equities, particularly where temporary dislocations obscure long-term potential.

Heyman specializes in value investing, with a focus on U.S. equities across all capitalizations, employing deep forensic analysis to identify undervalued companies that generate sustainable free cash flow despite periods of market uncertainty or apparent difficulty. His expertise includes analyzing a broad range of industries and sectors, with a fundamental emphasis on the quality of management and the realism of reported financials rather than short-term price movements or speculative trading.

He earned a B.B.A. in Accounting from Pace University, and is recognized for his pragmatic, detail-oriented leadership in value investing and deep fundamental research within the asset management industry.
