Brad Houle

Brad Houle is a Principal and Head of Fixed Income at Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, based in Portland, Oregon. In his current role, he is responsible for fixed income research and portfolio management, overseeing strategies across taxable and tax-exempt fixed income sectors. His work focuses on managing bond portfolios for a variety of institutional and high-net-worth clients, ensuring prudent risk management and effective diversification.

Houle brings over two decades of investment management experience, including 17 years at Davidson Investment Advisors, where he served as co-portfolio manager for both large value dividend and intermediate-term fixed income strategies. At Ferguson Wellman, he is recognized for his specialized knowledge in fixed income asset classes, with a particular emphasis on government, corporate, and municipal bonds.

He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and earned his MBA in business finance from the University of Oregon, graduating with honors with a B.S. in business finance from the University of Montana in 1991. Houle’s disciplined, research-driven approach, combined with his history of attracting new clients and delivering client-focused solutions, distinguishes him as a leader in the Northwest investment industry.
