Marc Fovinci

Marc Fovinci, CFA, served as a principal and Fixed Income Lead at Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, Inc., a prominent investment management firm based in Portland, Oregon. In this role, he played a key part in the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, developing asset allocation, sector models, and overseeing the implementation of customized investment strategies for both individual and institutional clients. Fovinci was actively involved in managing diversified portfolios across large-cap domestic equities, international equities, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and a range of fixed income strategies, with specific expertise in fixed income asset classes.

With a career spanning over three decades in investment management, Fovinci joined Ferguson Wellman in 1991 after previous service at the Washington State Investment Board. He contributed to both portfolio construction and client relationship transitions, earning respect for his rigorous approach and for shaping best practices across the firm. His leadership extended to guiding the firm through major operational and ownership transitions up until his retirement in 2021 after over 20 years as a principal owner.

Fovinci holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University and an M.B.A. from the University of Washington. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1987. His investment expertise centers on fixed income portfolio construction and risk management. Throughout his career, he has been recognized for his contributions to supporting innovation, cultivating client relationships, and maintaining investment excellence within the sector.
