Shawn Narancich

Shawn Narancich, CFA, is Vice President of Research at Ferguson Wellman Capital Management, Inc. in Portland, Oregon. In this leadership role on the equity team, he is responsible for equity research, portfolio construction, and guiding the firm’s top-down sector allocation strategy, with diversification across all sectors of the S&P 500 and significant emphasis on rigorous quantitative and fundamental analysis.

Narancich’s investment expertise spans domestic equities, with portfolios highly diversified across the S&P 500 sectors, and includes the use of a proprietary 16-factor quantitative model for U.S. stock selection and active top-down sector allocation. He is also involved in research supporting international equities, which includes both developed and emerging markets, as well as active collaboration in fixed income strategy discussions at the firm.

He earned his B.S. in Accounting and Business Administration from College of Great Falls in 1995 and received the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2000. Prior to joining Ferguson Wellman in 2008, he worked at Chittenden Bank, demonstrating a strong career progression as an equity investment analyst and research leader.
