Andry Sutanto

Andry Sutanto, CFA, is the Chief Technology Officer and a long-standing member of the investment team at Polaris Capital Management, LLC, based in Boston, Massachusetts. He joined Polaris in 2005 as an analyst, later becoming an LLC member and, in 2021, was appointed CTO, reflecting his strategic leadership in investment technology and infrastructure for the firm. Sutanto plays a key role in advancing the firm’s technology-driven investment processes and supporting global value investing operations.

Throughout his tenure at Polaris, Sutanto has contributed significantly as an international equity analyst, deeply involved in fundamental research, quantitative analytics, and portfolio construction. His expertise spans global equity markets with a particular focus on value investing across multiple sectors and industries, identifying undervalued companies globally using rigorous bottom-up research and proprietary valuation models. As an integral part of Polaris’ investment team, he engages in daily strategy discussions and supports global equity portfolios for institutional clients and private funds.

Andry holds dual master’s degrees in finance and business administration from Northeastern University, where he also served as a research and teaching assistant in finance and MIS. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder, known for bridging investment research and technology—enhancing efficiency, risk management, and data integrity for the firm. His notable contributions have helped position Polaris among top value-oriented global asset managers.
