James White

James White is a Senior Investment Analyst at Polaris Capital Management, LLC, based in Boston, Massachusetts, where he focuses on global equity research and value investing. Promoted to his current role in January 2025, Mr. White applies advanced research skills, including tactical problem-solving and broad data gathering, to enhance Polaris’s investment process, collaborating closely with portfolio managers on strategic analysis of global companies.

He brings sector expertise in healthcare and pharmaceuticals, leveraging his formal medical training and operational experience to assess companies in these industries. In addition, Mr. White has contributed to research across consumer services, finance, and real estate asset classes, benefiting from extensive travel and field research methods that inform investment decisions for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Prior to joining Polaris in early 2018, Mr. White had an accomplished career as a consultant to U.S. government intelligence agencies and served as a Navy SEAL. He also held clinical roles as a Physician Assistant at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. He holds an Executive MBA from both Cornell University and Queen’s University, earned cum laude in 2021, a Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and a degree in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven.
