Jake Nunn

Jake Nunn is a Partner at SR One Capital Management, based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He specializes in later-stage private and public investment opportunities within the biotechnology and broader life sciences sectors, with a particular focus on small- and mid-cap biotech companies. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and managing investments, as well as serving on the boards of portfolio companies such as Zenas BioPharma and Regulus Therapeutics.

Jake brings over 25 years of capital markets experience in the life sciences industry, having held previous roles as an investing partner and venture advisor at New Enterprise Associates (NEA), where he founded NEA’s public healthcare investing practice, and as a partner at MPM Capital specializing in public and mezzanine-stage life sciences investments. He has served on the boards of more than a dozen life sciences companies, contributing to successful exits such as Dermira’s acquisition by Eli Lilly and Hyperion Therapeutics’ acquisition by Horizon Pharma.

He holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA in Economics from Dartmouth College. Additionally, Jake is a Chartered Financial Analyst, a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco, and has completed the Stanford Directors’ Consortium executive education program, underscoring his expertise in investment, governance, and the biotechnology sector.
