Jill Carroll

Jill Carroll is a Partner at SR One Capital Management, a leading transatlantic biotech venture capital firm, where she oversees investments in innovative life sciences companies. Since joining SR One in 2011, she has managed and led investments in significant portfolio companies including Arcellx (ACLX), Odyssey, and Avalyn, with a focus on advancing new medicines that address critical patient needs. In addition to investment leadership, Jill plays a key role in mentoring and developing SR One’s junior investing team.

With over two decades of experience in the biotechnology sector, Jill’s expertise spans strategy consulting, corporate development, and venture investing. Prior to joining SR One, she held senior roles at biotech firms like Dynavax Technologies, where she was responsible for major pharma partnerships, financings, and business development initiatives. Jill’s investment focus at SR One centers on early-stage biotechnology companies, particularly those developing novel therapeutics, cell and gene therapies, and transformative approaches in clinical medicine.

Jill holds a BS in Chemistry from Duke University and an MS in Biochemistry from Johns Hopkins University. Throughout her career, she has earned recognition for her ability to bridge deep scientific understanding with business acumen, exemplified by her leadership of high-profile deals such as those involving Alios Biopharma, Progyny (PGNY), Principia Biopharma (PRNB), and Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation (AGTC).
