John Holt

John Holt, CFA, is a partner at Applied Finance Capital Management, LLC based in Arlington, VA. He joined the firm in 2014 and currently serves as a Portfolio Manager and Quantitative Research Analyst, where he is involved in the management of both quantitative strategies and analyst-driven approaches, applying valuation-focused research methodologies to investment decision-making.

Holt specializes in U.S. equity markets, with a strong emphasis on quantitative and intrinsic value strategies. His role encompasses developing and implementing proprietary analytics to identify firms trading below their intrinsic value, supporting the firm’s Valuation Driven™ investment philosophy across diverse sectors, notably leveraging the Economic Margin® framework to assess corporate performance.

He holds both a B.S. and an MBA from George Mason University.
