Henry D'Auria

Henry Mallari-D'Auria is the Chief Investment Officer of Global and Emerging Markets Equities at Ariel Investments, responsible for overseeing value research and portfolio management across non-U.S., global, and emerging markets strategies. He leads portfolio construction and sets strategic direction for Ariel’s developed international, emerging markets, and global funds, and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

Henry's investment expertise centers on undervalued equities in developed international and emerging markets, with a focus on long-term earnings power and value-driven opportunities. At Ariel, he manages portfolios such as the International Fund, Emerging Markets Value, and Global strategies, targeting all-cap companies and quality franchises outside the U.S., including offerings that exclude mainland China.

Bringing nearly 40 years of industry experience, Henry previously spent more than three decades at AllianceBernstein, serving as CIO and portfolio manager for Emerging Markets Value Equities, co-CIO of International Value Equities, and holding various leadership roles in global research. He holds a BA in economics from Trinity College, is a CFA Charterholder, sits on Trinity’s Board of Trustees, and actively supports educational and diabetes research initiatives.
