Kevin Mei

Kevin Mei is an Equity Analyst at Ariel Investments in New York, specializing in the global equities team with a primary focus on the autos, e-commerce, and communications sectors. In his current role, he conducts in-depth research and analysis on companies within these industries, supporting investment decisions for Ariel’s global equity portfolios.

Before joining Ariel Investments in September 2021, Kevin was an Investment Research Analyst at Harper Capital Management, where he gained experience covering international markets. He has also held research roles at the Cayuga Fund within Cornell University’s endowment and at William Blair Investment Management, as well as serving as a financial analyst at Ford Motor Company on the corporate development team.

Kevin holds an MBA in Investment Research & Asset Management from Cornell University’s SC Johnson College of Business, an MS in Accounting from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business, and a BBA in Economics from Southwestern University of Finance and Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder and is fluent in Mandarin, bringing a decade of cross-border industry expertise spanning the U.S., Mainland China, and Hong Kong.
