Layla Christen

Layla Christen serves as the Diversity and Inclusion Partner at Causeway Capital Management LLC, where she leads initiatives to cultivate a more inclusive investment culture and integrate diversity across the firm's strategies and operations. In this capacity, she works closely with investment teams to advance diversity targets and oversees programs designed to attract, retain, and develop talent from underrepresented backgrounds within the asset management industry.

Prior to joining Causeway, Layla was the Investment Director at Newark Liberty International Airport, where she managed multi-asset investment portfolios and focused on infrastructure, transportation, and real asset investments. Her expertise spans institutional portfolio construction, allocation to alternative investments, and the evaluation of public and private market opportunities, particularly in sectors related to transportation, infrastructure, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance).

Layla holds an Executive MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, with advanced training in finance, accounting, operations, marketing, entrepreneurship, and international business. Her notable career includes driving significant diversity efforts within investment management and overseeing large-scale infrastructure allocations, contributing to stronger investment teams and improved portfolio outcomes through inclusive practices.
