Mozaffar Khan

Mozaffar Khan, PhD, is a Portfolio Manager and Director of Sustainability Research at Causeway Capital Management LLC, based in Los Angeles. In his current role, he leads the firm’s efforts in sustainability research, ESG (environmental, social, and governance) integration, and sustainable portfolio management, working closely with quantitative portfolio managers on alpha research and portfolio construction for global equity strategies. Dr. Khan has a particular focus on integrating ESG signals into investment processes and developing quantitative research methodologies for stock selection within global developed and emerging markets equities.

Prior to joining Causeway in 2017, Dr. Khan was the Honeywell Professor at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, held a named professorship at Harvard Business School, and served as an assistant professor at MIT Sloan. He has published extensively in leading academic journals, contributing groundbreaking work on predictive models for stock returns and ESG signal integration.

Dr. Khan holds a PhD in accounting with emphases in statistics, economics, and finance from the University of Toronto. He is recognized in the investment industry for his quantitative and sustainability research, frequent guest lectures at international universities, and significant contributions to advancing ESG and data-driven approaches in fundamental and quantitative equity management.
