Spenser May

Spenser May is a fundamental senior research analyst at Causeway Capital Management LLC, based in Los Angeles. He joined Causeway in August 2018 and is responsible for coverage of companies in the insurance and materials sectors, leveraging a fundamental, research-driven investment approach.

Prior to joining Causeway, Spenser held research-focused roles at Hotchkis & Wiley Capital Management, where he covered the consumer and technology sectors, and was previously an associate within the funds management group at Wilshire Associates. He also completed a research internship at Causeway, focusing on the hospital and specialty chemical industries.

Spenser holds a BS in business administration with concentrations in finance and economics from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. He is a CFA charterholder, and his expertise includes in-depth sector analysis, equity research, and fundamental valuation within insurance, materials, consumer, and technology industries.
