Anthony Godonis

Anthony Godonis is the Director of Trading and a Principal at Copeland Capital Management, LLC, based in the Philadelphia area. In his current role, he oversees global trade execution, trade cost analysis, policy development, broker and vendor management, electronic connectivity, technology oversight, operational controls, and commission management for the firm’s actively managed domestic and international dividend growth strategies.

He has particular expertise in executing trades across multiple asset classes, including equities, fixed income, currencies, and derivatives, supporting Copeland's broad investment strategies with a focus on dividend growth within both U.S. and international markets. Prior to joining Copeland in 2017, Mr. Godonis was Head of Trading – Americas at Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he directed all aspects of trade execution for North and South American markets. He previously held senior trading positions focused on program, small cap, and international trading at Gartmore Global and Glenmede Investment Management.

Mr. Godonis holds a BS in Finance from Shippensburg University and an MBA with a concentration in International Business from Drexel University. His two decades of experience have made him a recognized authority in trade process optimization and market structure advisory, and he is known for advocating transparency and innovation in market policy at a national level, including communications with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
