Adam Bergman

Adam Bergman, CFA, is Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Davenport & Company LLC, based in Virginia Beach, VA. He co-manages the Value & Income Portfolio and the Insider Buying Fund, and serves on the firm’s Investment Policy Committee, where he helps guide investment strategy and portfolio construction decisions. His primary focus is managing equity and balanced portfolios, with an emphasis on value-oriented strategies and tactical allocation across U.S. equities and income-generating assets.

Bergman brings almost three decades of investment industry experience, including a 15-year tenure as Portfolio Manager and Executive Director at Sterling Capital Management LLC and previous leadership in Investor and Media Relations at Advance Auto Parts. Throughout his career, he has demonstrated expertise in equity research, portfolio management, and investor communications, particularly within the financials, industrials, and consumer sectors.

He holds a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia and a post-graduate certificate in Investor Relations in Investments and Securities from the University of California, Irvine.
