Church Young

Church Young is Senior Vice President – Investments at Davenport & Company LLC in Richmond, Virginia, where he also serves on the firm’s Board of Directors and is a Managing Director. As part of the Lipscomb, Gregory & Young team, he provides comprehensive investment advisory and wealth management services, working primarily with individuals, families, pre- and post-retirees, and small business owners. His responsibilities include constructing customized portfolios focused on growth and income strategies tailored to achieve clients’ long-term financial goals.

With over three decades of experience in the investment industry, Church’s career includes financial advisory roles at UBS/PaineWebber (1999–2006) and Wheat First Butcher Singer, now Wells Fargo Advisors (1993–1999), before joining Davenport in 2006. His expertise encompasses equity and fixed income investments, multi-asset allocation, and integrated financial planning for high-net-worth clients. He also participates actively in community investment oversight, serving on the Central Virginia Food Bank’s Investment Committee.

Church holds a BA in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and is an alumnus of St. Christopher’s School. Recognized for leadership in both professional and philanthropic roles, he was elected to Davenport’s Board in 2023, underscoring his contributions to the regional investment community and commitment to fiduciary standards.
