Maite Trenchs

Maite Labairu Trenchs is Principal and Head of Corporate Finance and Investor Relations at EXOR, based in Amsterdam. In this capacity, she leads debt and equity capital markets transactions, oversees treasury operations, manages investor communications, and has played a pivotal role in major financings and share repurchase programs, such as a €650 million bond issuance and a €1 billion buyback initiative closed in 2023. Her responsibilities also include supporting portfolio strategy and capital allocation, as well as sitting on key boards within EXOR’s investment ecosystem.

Trenchs’ investment focus spans listed assets, with a particular emphasis on less cyclical sectors including healthcare, luxury, and technology, aligning with EXOR’s strategy to increase portfolio resilience. She has been integral to transactions in the healthcare sector—including investments in Institut Mérieux and Lifenet Healthcare—and contributes to innovation in technology through EXOR Ventures. Her board roles at entities such as Paris Office JV Limited and Welltec further underscore her influence in diversified industrial and medical technology holdings.

Her career at EXOR began nearly a decade ago as an analyst, progressing rapidly through associate and principal roles in corporate finance. Maite holds an MSc in Aeronautical and Space Systems from ISAE-SUPAERO, a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering from La Salle BCN, and has completed global studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and UCLA. She also holds an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs Italia (CDI Italia) and specialized certifications in fintech and operational excellence, underpinning her expertise in both technical innovation and strategic capital management.
