Vladimir de Vassal

Vladimir de Vassal, CFA, is the Director of Quantitative Research and a Portfolio Manager at Glenmede Investment Management LP, based in Gwynedd Valley, PA. He leads the development and management of quantitatively based equity portfolios, including mutual funds and long/short strategies, and oversees the firm's suite of quantitative investment offerings.

Mr. de Vassal specializes in quantitative equity strategies, covering a broad range of U.S. equity asset classes such as large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap stocks, as well as international quantitative strategies and ESG-focused mandates. His investment approach spans diverse styles like growth, value, and blended strategies, and he has contributed to the launch and ongoing management of both domestic and international quantitative portfolios.

He joined Glenmede in 1998 after serving as Vice President and Director of Quantitative Analysis at CoreStates Investment Advisors, and as Vice President of Interest Rate Risk Reporting/Analysis at CoreStates Financial Corp. Mr. de Vassal holds an MBA from Drexel University and earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1992; he received a B.S. with dual majors in Finance and Accounting. Among his achievements, he and his team received the 2016 Lipper Fund Award for Excellence in Fund Management.
