Andreas Eckner

Andreas Eckner, Ph.D., is a Portfolio Manager and Partner at LMCG Investments, where he leads investment strategies as a senior member of the Serenitas Investment Team. His primary focus is on structured credit, with a particular expertise in residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS) and related sectors. Eckner leverages advanced quantitative approaches and statistical methods to inform portfolio construction and risk management.

Prior to joining LMCG in 2015, Andreas co-founded Serenitas Capital, which was later acquired by LMCG, and held leadership roles at Merrill Lynch, ERSTE Bank, and Goldman Sachs. Throughout his career, he has developed a track record in structured finance and credit risk modeling, managing complex investment portfolios across global fixed income and credit markets.

Andreas holds a Ph.D. in Statistics and an M.S. in Mathematics from Stanford University, as well as a B.S. in Mathematics from Technische Universität Wien. His research on credit risk modeling has been widely published, mentioned by international regulatory bodies, and recognized with awards such as the Swiss Finance Institute Outstanding Paper Award.
