Michele O'Grady

Michele O’Grady is a partner at PhiloSmith Capital Corp, based in Stamford, CT, where she has served since 1998 and became a partner in 2005. In her current role, she is responsible for the financial and administrative management of the firm’s investment accounts and partnerships, as well as overseeing compliance, operations, and performance data for all investment vehicles. Michele is also the President and Chief Compliance Officer of PhiloSmith Securities, LLC, the firm’s FINRA-registered broker-dealer affiliate.

Her investment focus is on the financial services sector, with particular expertise in insurance companies and related financial businesses, reflecting the core specialization of PhiloSmith Capital Corp. Michele manages operational oversight and compliance in these specialized investment vehicles, supporting both investment management and deal execution in insurance and financial services markets.

Michele began her career as an associate at Capital Partners, a leveraged buyout (LBO) firm, and went on to become the Chief Financial Officer at Oxford Bioscience Partners, a venture capital firm managing over $300 million. She graduated magna cum laude from Marymount College and earned her MBA with honors from the University of Bridgeport. She currently maintains Series 7 and 24 FINRA registrations, underscoring her expertise in financial operations and regulatory compliance within the investment industry.
