Tim Todaro

Timothy A. (Tim) Todaro, CFA, is a Portfolio Manager and Analyst at Rice Hall James & Associates, LLC (RHJ), an independent SEC-registered investment advisory firm based in San Diego, California. With over 45 years of investment experience, Mr. Todaro has managed portfolios for a wide array of institutional and high net worth clients, emphasizing long-term capital appreciation through disciplined fundamental research and portfolio construction. At RHJ, he is responsible for the SMID Cap Equity, Small Cap Equity, and Micro Cap Equity strategies, focusing on small- and medium-cap companies across various industries. Prior to joining RHJ in 1983, Mr. Todaro was a Senior Investment Analyst at Comerica Bank in Detroit, MI, where he developed expertise in equity analysis and asset allocation. His career is distinguished by over four decades of industry leadership, including more than 42 years dedicated to RHJ, where he has contributed to the firm’s reputation for thoughtful, research-driven investment management. Mr. Todaro holds a B.A. from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
