Alex Bender, CFA, is an Associate on the Portfolio Management team at Sage Advisory in Austin, Texas. In his current role, he is responsible for corporate credit analysis and security selection, focusing on the evaluation of fixed income securities and credit investments.

Alex’s investment expertise centers on the corporate credit sector, with experience analyzing issuers across various industries. Prior to joining Sage, he was a Credit Investment Analyst at PGIM Fixed Income, where he specialized in corporate credit analysis across multiple sectors. He also began his career as a Commercial Credit Analyst at Huntington National Bank, building a foundation in credit assessment for institutional investments.

Alex holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is an active member of the CFA Institute. He earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and also studied at Universidad Austral in Buenos Aires. His career reflects a consistent focus on rigorous credit research and selection within fixed income markets, contributing valuable insights to portfolio construction and risk management.
